What are holed bars for?

Holed bars (drilled or punched infill bars) are pre-made balustrade and railing components with holes or slots at set spacings. The infill bars or balusters pass through the holes, so you get even, code-compliant spacing without measuring and drilling every hole yourself.

What does '100mm gap' mean?

It means the holes are positioned so the finished gap between the bars passing through them is 100mm - the standard maximum gap for guarding under UK Building Regulations, so a 100mm sphere cannot pass through. This makes them ideal for compliant balustrades and railings.

Square holes or round holes?

Match the hole to the infill bar you are using - square holes for square bar, round holes for round bar. Slotted versions take flat bar. Check the size in the option (e.g. 16mm round holes take 16mm round bar).
