Rackerman supplies 304 stainless steel sheet in 2B mill, 240-grit brushed and mirror-polished finishes, as full sheets in standard UK sizes (2500 x 1250mm / 8x4 and 2000 x 1000mm).

304 Stainless Steel Sheet Finishes

Choose the finish to suit the job:

• 304 stainless steel sheet — 2B mill finish: the smooth, dull-bright standard finish for general fabrication, splashbacks, cladding and worktops, in 0.9mm to 3mm.
• 304 stainless steel sheet — 240-grit brushed: a fine satin directional grain that hides fingerprints, ideal for worktops, panels and visible surfaces.
• 304 stainless steel sheet — mirror finish: a bright reflective polished face for decorative splashbacks, cladding and signage.

Grade 304 (1.4301 / 1.4307)

All our stainless sheet is grade 304 austenitic stainless — the standard UK stainless sheet grade — with excellent corrosion resistance indoors and out, a hygienic non-porous surface and good weldability with 308 stainless filler. Stainless Steel Splashbacks

Grade 304 stainless steel sheet is the classic material for stainless steel splashbacks behind hobs, cookers and sinks — heat-resistant, hygienic, wipe-clean and rust-resistant. Choose the 2B or 240-grit brushed finish for a practical, fingerprint-tolerant splashback, or mirror for a bright reflective feature wall. Our stainless splashback sheet is supplied full-size (2500 x 1250mm or 2000 x 1000mm); we do not cut sheet to size, so cut your splashback to fit on site or have a fabricator trim it. The lighter 0.9mm gauge is the easiest to cut and fix as a splashback panel.

Common Uses

304 stainless steel sheet is used for kitchen splashbacks and worktops, catering and food-preparation surfaces, wall cladding and decorative panels, signage, lift and door panels, machine guarding and general fabrication. Its clean finish and corrosion resistance make it the go-to sheet for hygiene-sensitive and architectural work.
