Rackerman supplies 10mm, 12mm and 15mm toughened safety glass, plus 17.5mm and 21.5mm toughened-laminated panels for the highest safety and load requirements, in stock sizes and cut to size to BS EN 12150.

Toughened vs toughened-laminated

Toughened (tempered) glass is around five times stronger than ordinary glass and shatters into small, safe granules. Toughened-laminated glass bonds two toughened panes with an interlayer so it stays in place if broken — required for many frameless balustrade and overhead applications. All panels have polished edges and meet UK safety standards.
