Sawn Treated Timber – C16 & C24 Pressure-Treated Carcassing

Our sawn treated timber is pressure-treated softwood carcassing supplied in C16 and C24 strength grades, in a full range of sizes from 2x2 up to 10x2 and lengths up to 5.4m. Smaller sizes are supplied in C16, the standard choice for general construction, while larger sizes (6x2 and above) are supplied in C24 for higher-strength structural work. Ideal for decking frames, stud walls, joists, roofing, sheds, fencing and garden projects, with a 3-5 working day lead time to mainland UK.

Available Sizes and Lengths

Sizes range from 2x2 (47x50mm) up to 10x2 (47x250mm), in lengths from 2.4m up to 5.4m. Not every length is available in every size — available options are shown on each product page. All dimensions are nominal sawn sizes.

C16 and C24 Strength Grades

C16 is the most widely used structural grade for general construction, studwork and framing. C24 is a higher-strength grade with fewer knots, used where greater load-bearing performance is needed, such as joists and larger structural sections. Our smaller sizes are supplied in C16 and our larger sizes (6x2 and above) in C24.

Pressure Treatment

All our timber is pressure-treated with a deep preservative treatment that helps protect against rot, insect attack and fungal decay, making it suitable for outdoor and exposed use. Freshly cut ends should be treated with a suitable end-grain preserver to maintain protection.

Common Uses

Sawn treated timber is used for decking frames and joists, internal stud walls, roofing and rafters, floor joists, fencing, sheds, garden structures, raised beds, pergolas and general construction. The smaller C16 sizes suit framing and studwork, while the larger C24 sizes suit load-bearing joists and structural spans.

Finish

Supplied rough sawn for a natural, rustic finish. As a natural product, timber may show variation in colour, grain, knots and moisture content, which is normal for sawn treated softwood.

Delivery Information

Lead times are currently 3-5 working days to mainland UK addresses. Longer lengths are bulky items, so suitable delivery access is required. Contact us for a custom quote on bulk or trade quantities.
