Rackerman aviary mesh is a fine galvanised welded wire mesh made for aviaries, rabbit and small-animal runs, pet cages and rodent exclusion. With tight 7mm to 13mm apertures it keeps small birds and animals safely in and predators and vermin out, while the welded galvanised construction holds its shape and lasts for years outdoors.
Manufactured to BS EN 10223-4 from galvanised mild steel, this rigid welded mesh won't unravel when cut, so it's ideal for building and repairing enclosures.
Choosing your aperture
- 7 x 7mm — finest mesh; excludes mice, rats and the smallest birds.
- 13 x 13mm — aviary and small-bird mesh.
- 13 x 25mm — rabbit, guinea pig and small-animal runs.

Bird aviaries, rabbit and guinea pig runs, pet and breeding cages, fox- and rodent-proofing, vents and soffit screens, fruit cages and propagation.
Cut-to-size & quantities
Sold per roll; cut with tin snips or bolt cutters. Fix with cable ties, J-clips/hog rings or staples.

What mesh size do I need for an aviary?
13mm suits most aviaries; choose 7mm to exclude mice and the smallest birds, or 13x25mm for rabbits and larger small animals.
Is welded mesh safe for pets?
Yes; galvanised welded mesh is rigid and will not unravel when cut. Smooth any cut ends and fix it securely.
Can I use aviary mesh outdoors?
Yes; galvanising resists rust. For coastal or very wet sites consider extra protection.
