About Galvanised Tube and BS 1387 Sizes
This tube is hot-dip galvanised for long-term corrosion resistance and is manufactured to the outside-diameter sizes set out in BS 1387 (now superseded by EN 10255), the long-established British standard for steel tube used in water, gas, fencing and structural applications. The standard's nominal sizes correspond to outside diameters such as 21.3mm (1/2"), 26.9mm (3/4"), 33.7mm (1"), 42.4mm (1.1/4") and 48.3mm (1.1/2"). The A to F letters used here are size references; the wall thickness of each option is given in the table.

What do the A, B, C letters mean?
They are size reference designations for the tube's outside diameter (for example A = 26.9mm, B = 33.7mm, C = 42.4mm). The wall thickness of each option is listed separately in the size table, as some diameters are available in more than one wall.
