What does a code like R5/T8 mean?
The 'R' is the round hole diameter in millimetres and the 'T' is the pitch – the centre-to-centre spacing between holes – on a staggered 60° pattern. So R5/T8 is 5mm round holes spaced 8mm apart. This is the standard UK perforated sheet convention.
What is perforated mild steel used for?
Perforated mild steel sheet is used for ventilation grilles, machine guards, screens and sieves, balustrade and balcony infill, acoustic panels, vehicle and trailer panels, agricultural screens, sign blanks and decorative facade cladding. Hole size and pitch determine the open area and the look.
Can I order a specific hole pattern, size and thickness?
Yes – choose the hole pattern, sheet size and thickness from the options on this page and the correct price updates automatically. Each combination is a stocked specification.
What's the delivery lead time?
Lead times are currently 3–5 working days. Sheets are heavy, bulky items delivered on a pallet to mainland UK addresses – suitable site access and someone to assist with offloading are required.
