Only needed on open edges (not against a wall). Each strip finishes one 90cm tile edge. Guide: a free-standing platform of W × L tiles needs about 2 × (W + L) strips; a floor open on one side needs strips along that side only.

Tiles interlock and butt together; numbers are rounded up to the nearest whole tile. Add a spare or two for cutting edge tiles around equipment and doorways. Tiles and edge strips are added to your basket together.
How to lay your gym tiles
- Acclimatise — lay the tiles out flat for a few hours so the rubber relaxes and sits flatter.
- Start in a corner — work outwards, interlocking and butting each tile tight to the next for a flat, stable floor.
- Trim to fit — cut edge tiles around walls and equipment with a sharp knife against a straight edge.
- Finish open edges — slot the 90cm interlocking edge strips onto any exposed (non-wall) tile edges for a safe, trip-free border.
- Done — no adhesive needed; the weight holds them down, and you can lift and re-lay any time you rearrange.
Tip: each tile weighs roughly 9kg (10mm) — have a hand available for larger orders.

Rubber Gym Flooring — Interlocking Tiles for Any Gym
This is proper rubber gym flooring: dense, hard-wearing rubber tiles that soak up impact and vibration under free weights, squat racks, benches, rigs and cardio machines. As modular gym floor tiles they stop dropped dumbbells and plates cracking the slab, protect joints underfoot and cut the boom of weights hitting the floor. Because they interlock and lift back up, they're the flexible way to lay gym flooring in a home, garage or commercial space — tile the exact area you need and add more any time.
Home, garage & commercial gym flooring
These tiles work across the board as home gym flooring, garage gym flooring and commercial gym flooring. Interlocking tiles are the classic choice for a garage gym — they lock together into a solid floor with no adhesive, cover any shape of room, and lift straight back up if you move. For a busy PT studio, CrossFit box or commercial fitness suite, tile the area wall to wall for a hard-wearing, professional finish that takes years of heavy training. Prefer a roll you cut to length instead of tiles? See our rubber matting roll.
Castellated underside for superior shock absorption
The castellated design on the underside — a moulded grid of raised studs — is the secret to these tiles. It compresses and rebounds under load for superior shock absorption and impact protection when weights are dropped, while keeping the top firm and stable to train on. The raised base also lets air and moisture move underneath, so the floor stays fresh.
90 × 90cm interlocking tiles — a professional finish
Each tile is 90cm × 90cm (0.81m²) and 14mm thick, with a toothed interlocking edge that locks neatly to the next tile — no adhesive needed. The tiles sit flat and their weight holds them down; trim edge tiles to fit with a sharp knife for a tidy wall-to-wall floor. Fewer, larger tiles than most gym flooring tiles means a quicker fit and fewer joins.
Add interlocking edge strips
Select Interlocking Edge Strip from the options above to add matching bevelled edging. The strips lock onto the exposed edge of the tiles to remove the trip-step where the floor meets an open doorway or sits in the middle of a room — the professional finishing touch for a home or commercial gym.
How to lay your gym flooring tiles
Fitting is quick and needs no specialist tools. Let the tiles acclimatise flat for a few hours, then start in a corner and work outwards, interlocking and butting each tile tight to the next. Trim edge tiles around walls and equipment with a sharp knife against a straight edge, and finish any open (non-wall) edges with the interlocking edge strips for a safe, trip-free border. No adhesive is needed — the weight of the tiles holds them down, and you can lift and re-lay them any time you rearrange. Tiles are heavy, so have a hand available for larger orders.
