About Grade 304 Stainless Steel
304 (1.4307) is the most widely used austenitic stainless steel, offering excellent corrosion resistance, strength and a clean bright finish. It is readily welded, machined and fabricated and is well suited to architectural, structural, marine, catering and food-industry applications where hygiene and corrosion resistance matter. For the most demanding marine and chemical environments, grade 316 offers even greater resistance.

Can 304 stainless round bar be machined?
Yes. 304 machines with carbide tooling at appropriate speeds. Use cutting fluid to manage heat as stainless work-hardens during machining.
Is 304 stainless magnetic?
304 is essentially non-magnetic in its annealed state, though cold working can induce slight magnetism. This distinguishes it from mild steel which is strongly magnetic.
What are the delivery lead times?
