Heavy-Duty Galvanised Weld Mesh Fencing

Rackerman heavy-duty weld mesh is a strong galvanised welded wire mesh for security, boundary and agricultural fencing, gabion baskets and machine guards. With a 50mm aperture and heavy 12–16G wire, it is the tough, rigid welded mesh you reach for when strength matters more than economy. Every roll is manufactured to BS EN 10223-4 from galvanised mild steel, with every intersection resistance-welded into a rigid grid that holds its shape and will not unravel when cut.

Unlike woven netting, welded mesh keeps its panels square under load, so a weld mesh fence resists pushing, leaning and animal pressure far better than lighter wire. That rigidity also makes it the preferred infill for gabions, balustrades and guarding, where the mesh has to stay flat and dimensionally stable. Choose a lighter 16G for general boundaries and a heavier 12G where security and impact resistance are the priority.

Galvanised weld mesh is used for security and perimeter fencing, boundary and agricultural mesh, dog runs and kennels, gabion baskets, balustrade and rail infill, machine guards and yard screens. Cut to Size, Fixing & Quantities

Weld mesh fencing is sold per roll and cut with bolt cutters or an angle grinder, leaving no loose strands. Fix with cable ties, hog rings or galvanised staples, and tension the mesh between posts at roughly 2.5–3m centres for a taut, rigid run. For gabions, lace adjoining panels with galvanised lacing wire or clips to lock the cage square.
