Pallet Wood For Sale — Buy Per Square Metre

Our pallet wood for sale comes as loose pallet boards, priced from £24.99 for 1m² up to a full 100m² bulk pack — the simplest way to order reclaimed pallet planks by area rather than by the piece. Tell us the wall or coverage size and we send enough boards to cover it, with a 10% wastage allowance already factored into every pack. Plank widths range from 50mm to 150mm, thicknesses from 10mm to 25mm and lengths from 300mm to 1500mm — the variation is what gives reclaimed wood its authentic, non-uniform look.

Reclaimed Wood UK — What You Get In Each Pack

Every pack of reclaimed wood we ship is a mix of pallet boards, sourced from genuine UK-based pallet salvage — kiln-dried, mixed species (mainly softwood), with nails ground flat so the boards are safe to handle straight out of the pack. Colours run from silver-grey through to warm honey and dark brown; grain patterns, saw marks, stamps and small nail holes are part of the character. Expect variation between packs — that's the definition of reclaimed timber. If you need a colour or plank-size sort for a specific project, add a note at checkout and we'll do our best to pull to spec.

Reclaimed Wood Cladding & Feature Walls

This is our most popular use. As reclaimed wood cladding and pallet wood cladding, the boards create a warm, textured rustic wood cladding finish on feature and accent walls, bar and cafe fit-outs, headboards and shop interiors. The weathered grain and mixed tones deliver a look new timber simply cannot replicate.

Pallet Boards & Planks For Craft, Cladding & Shelving

Reclaimed pallet boards and reclaimed wood planks are the go-to timber for feature walls, cladding, rustic furniture, floating shelves, signage, headboards, planters, upcycling and craft projects. For shelving, pair with our scaffold shelving brackets; for cladding, batten your wall with CLS studwork first. The boards take stain, oil and paint well — a clear timber oil is enough to seal them for interior use, or an exterior wood preservative for garden and outdoor projects.

Character & Imperfections

Reclaimed pallet wood is a genuine salvaged material, so planks may have nail holes, gouges, knots, uneven surfaces, warping, stains, stamps, saw marks and varied colouration. Nails are ground flat with the remainder left in to retain the industrial charm. These features are the character of reclaimed timber — not faults.

Sustainability

Choosing reclaimed timber reduces waste and cuts demand for newly harvested wood. Each plank has already stood the test of time and is ready to be repurposed — an eco-friendly material with real history. Every square metre of reclaimed pallet wood you buy is one square metre of pallet timber that stays out of skip and landfill.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What sizes are the reclaimed pallet wood planks?

Sizes vary as this is reclaimed material. Typical widths are 80-120mm, thicknesses 15-22mm. Check the product page for the specific dimensions available.

Is reclaimed pallet wood safe to use indoors?

Yes. Our reclaimed pallet wood is cleaned and de-nailed. It is untreated timber safe for indoor furniture, cladding and decorative use.

What is reclaimed pallet wood used for?

Wall cladding, feature walls, shelving, furniture (tables, headboards, planters), craft projects, garden signs, picture frames and any rustic or industrial-style interior project.

Does the wood need treating?

For indoor use, no treatment is needed — the natural weathered finish is the appeal. For outdoor use, apply a timber preservative or exterior oil.

Is every piece identical?

No. Reclaimed wood varies in colour, grain, texture and character marks. This variation is the point — it gives an authentic rustic finish that cannot be replicated with new timber.
