Frameless Glass Balustrade Kit - 2.5m - Complete System

Complete frameless glass balustrade kit covering a 2.5m straight run. The aluminium channel system holds toughened or toughened-laminated glass securely with no visible posts, giving an uninterrupted view - the premium specification for modern balconies, terraces, decking and stairwells. Choose your glass thickness, fix type (base or side) and finish (anodised aluminium or powder-coated black). All gaskets, wedges, end caps and fixings included; you supply only the glass.

Choosing Your Options

Glass thickness: Match the kit to your glass thickness exactly - the gaskets and wedges are sized to grip that specific thickness. Available for: 12-12.76mm (standard toughened), 13.52mm, 15mm, 16.76mm, 17.52mm (standard toughened laminated), 19mm, 20.76mm and 21.52mm (heavy-duty laminated).

Base fix vs side fix: Base fix mounts on top of the floor surface (the channel is visible, sitting on the deck/floor). Side fix mounts to the side or fascia (the channel is hidden behind cladding for a cleaner look from above). Base fix is the most common; side fix is preferred for balconies and mezzanines where you want the cleanest possible top edge.

Finish: Anodised aluminium for a clean silver/satin industry-standard look, or powder-coated black for a darker architectural finish matching modern dark window frames and cladding.

Designed For Toughened and Laminated Glass

This channel system holds toughened or toughened-laminated safety glass between 12mm and 21.52mm thick. For frameless installations protecting a drop above 600mm without a handrail, UK Building Regulations Part K and BS 6180 require toughened laminated glass - typically the 17.52mm or 21.52mm variants. Installation Notes

The aluminium channel is supplied in a single 2.5m length and can be cut on site with a fine-tooth saw if you need a shorter run. Fix to a structural concrete or steel base through the pre-drilled holes. Insert the glass with gaskets and rubber wedges, then tap home with the supplied wedge tool (or buy our wedge insertion tool separately). End caps finish both ends.
