About 6063 T6 Aluminium
6063 T6 is a medium-strength architectural alloy known for its clean surface finish, high corrosion resistance and excellent workability. It is readily welded, drilled, cut and anodised, making it a popular choice for both structural and decorative fabrication.
Aluminium Angle for Trim & Edging
As well as structural framing, 6063 aluminium equal angle is widely used as aluminium angle trim and edging — corner protection, worktop and panel edging, tile and step edge trim, shelf lips and frame edging. The clean extruded L-section gives a neat finished edge, and the natural mill finish can be left bare or anodised or powder coated to a black, polished or coloured trim finish to match your project. For fine edge trims choose a thin-wall small size such as 12x12mm, 19x19mm or 25x25mm; for structural framing and brackets step up to 50mm and larger sections.
Equal vs Unequal Angle
An equal angle has two legs of the same width (for example 50 x 50mm), giving a symmetrical L-section. If you need legs of different widths, see our aluminium unequal angle range.
Common Uses
Structural and architectural framing, edging and trims, brackets and supports, vehicle and trailer bodywork, joinery and shopfitting, and general fabrication and DIY.
